About me
I didn’t plan any of this.
For years, I worked in IT.
I was productive. I was capable. And then, one day, it stopped.
Not dramatically. Not all at once. Just… a quiet closing of a door that I kept trying to push open — until I finally understood it wasn’t meant to open again.
I spent a long time looking for what came next. Sending applications. Waiting. Trying again.
And slowly, in the space between trying and letting go, something shifted.
A moment of clarity arrived — the kind that doesn’t shout, but is impossible to ignore.
That path is no longer yours. Find something that makes your heart sing. Something that fills you with energy. Something that is truly yours.
So I listened.
I had always been someone who felt things deeply.
As a child, I thought something was wrong with me — that I was too sensitive, too emotional, too much for a world that moved so fast.
It took me years to understand that I wasn’t broken. I was simply feeling more than I knew how to hold.
That sensitivity became my compass.
I found my way through creativity.
I discovered neurographic art — a simple practice of slow, continuous lines that somehow did what nothing else could: quiet the noise, soften the body, bring me back to myself.
I began to write. Journals. Prompts. Gentle guides.
And I realized: this is what I was meant to do.
Not to teach. Not to fix. But to create pages that feel like a safe place to land.
Today, I am:
– The author of 35+ books on neurographic art, mindfulness, gratitude, and self-love
– A certified Health Coach (IIN — Institute for Integrative Nutrition)
– The creator of The Shape of Healing series, A Gentle Place to Feel, and the Self-Love Revolution collection
– Someone who believes, deeply, that creativity is not about talent — it’s about presence
What I create is for you if…
You are tired of pushing through.
You are looking for something quieter — a practice, not a performance.
You have never considered yourself “an artist” but you are drawn to the idea of a pen, a page, and a moment of stillness.
You are healing — slowly, gently, in your own time.
A note from me to you
Everything I make begins with a question:
What would feel like a safe space on a page?
Not a workbook you have to complete.
Not a challenge you have to win.
Just a quiet invitation to come back to yourself — one line, one word, one breath at a time.
I’m so glad you found your way here.
With creativity & care,
— Marylou ✨
